Gloopies privacy policy

Gloopies is made by Ariflogs Services LLC ("we"). This policy covers the game on Poki, iOS, Android and the web, and its online leaderboard.

What we collect

Only what the leaderboard needs:

• A device key: a random code made when your device first posts a score or opens the leaderboard, so it can post scores under your name. We store it in scrambled (hashed) form.
• Your leaderboard name: a generated name like "Starry Button 249", or your Poki username if you're logged in to Poki.
• Your Poki user ID, if you're logged in to Poki. Poki makes this ID for our game only.
• Anonymous counts: once per device, the game adds one to a shared player count, and one to a shared count for each achievement you earn. These are plain numbers with nothing that identifies you, used to show how many players have each achievement.
• Your best run: score, biggest blob, number of merges, play time, platform (Poki, iOS, Android or web), mouse or touch, and when you played it.

We don't collect your email, real name, location, contacts or advertising IDs, and we don't use cookies. You can't type names or messages into the game.

Why

To show the leaderboard and your rank, and to catch impossible scores. Under the GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the game's leaderboard.

Who sees it

• Other players see your leaderboard name, score and biggest blob.
• Cloudflare hosts our server and database (database in Western Europe). Its request logs include your IP address and are deleted within 7 days. We use IP addresses only to slow down abuse and don't store them.
• Poki runs its own site. When you play there, the game sends Poki gameplay events (for example, how long a run lasted) to help improve it. Poki's own data use is covered by the Poki privacy statement.

We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, and the game has no ads.

On your device

The game saves your settings, best score, unfinished run, achievements, collection and leaderboard key on your device. On Poki, if you're logged in, Poki may back these up to your Poki account.

How long we keep it

We keep your leaderboard entry while the leaderboard runs, or until you ask us to delete it.

Children

Gloopies is for all ages. We don't ask anyone for personal information. If you're a parent and want your child's entry removed, email us.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Email hello@company.indiehustles.com with your leaderboard name. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
